Mike Sanchez and the Portions. Guisborough 12/12/2009

It would just NOT be Christmas for us lot at Guru Boutique without a gig from the mighty Mike Sanchez - if you ever get the chance to see Mike either solo or with his awesome band GO!!! The most recent one we attended was at the excellent Guisborough R'n'B Club. It was hosted by Kath and Ralph, the venue was Guisborough Football Club's social centre, and it was no exception to the high standards this band attains. A fabulous time was had by all, and Mike and the band as usual gave 500%. The line-up has changed recently with the leaving to pursue other avenues of Imelda May, Al Gare and Oliver Darling, but the vibe is just as addictive...
New members are the excellent Nick Whitfield on bass, and the fabulous Big Boy Bloater on guitar - all was fantastic the night this band played Guisborough, and they had the crowd up on their feet and howling for more - we all left smiling so what more can you ask from a great gig... If you get the chance go and see this band, as they are just AMAZING!!!
